Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken during the crossing of the Ebre River. Crossing the Ebre was... special. Imagine two cars on an old ferry made of wood, operated by one man, no motors. The boat was linked to a big metallic rope tied to each side of the river, and the current of the river was strong enough to be used to make the boat move across the water (using a big rudder). Everything was squeaking, making strange noises, I was a bit afraid: in fact, the river's current was VERY strong, moving so fast, I didn't want to try "tasting the water"... (We discovered later that this whole "crossing the river on a tiny ferry"-thing was just a tourist trap, they built a big modern bridge 2 kilometers further. I still think it was worth it, we had a very great view on the fortress for 2€.)
After crossing the Ebre, we went on the fortress of Miravet. We had a splendid view from there, it will be the next picture I'll post.
This fortress was first a castle, the fortifications were added in the 14th century, and later it became a monastery-fortress.
I don't have much informations about Miravet, but you can find some here and here (both in Catalan).
In PS: +saturation, +blue, +levels, little cropping, resizing, framing, copyrighting.
[Edit: I republished this picture after a little cropping, following the good advices you all gave me. Thanks a lot =)]

I like this one better. I can see more details - the place looks more impressive, filling up more of the frame. Same wonderful PoV and interesting note about it :)
Great composition.
