Düsseldorf under rain. One by one people pass by. This is the maximum number of umbrellas that i could gather in a single frame. One more i have with a bicycle, but i like this version more.

Yağmur altında Düsseldorf sokakları. Tek tük insanlar gelip geçerken bu dörtlüyü yakalamak iyi bir şans oldu. Bunun bisikletli geçerkenki versiyonu da bulunuyor ama bu fotoğrafı daha çok beğendim :)

Merhaba Deniz,
Gercekten cok guzel fotograf olmus. Arka plan cok guzel kesinlikle. 4 renkli semsiyeli kisinin kareye girmesi ise on plan icin de emek sarfetmenin gercekten guzel sonuclar yarattigini gosteriyor. Sanki senin icin gecis toreni yapiyorlar gibi. :)

Such a nice slice of daily life Deniz. The colours are so natural and the composition is excellent. I especially like the row of window baskets. I also sense a touch of homour with the poor guy being dragged along behind when he'd probably rather be in a bar somewhere dry. Best regards, Roberto

Who says rainy days are not good for photography? Here, you have a full colour picture and an excellent POV. I like the line of tourists under the rain. Well done.

all toped up by the neatly placed pretty and colorful flower pots all composed in a good symmetry by the eye of a thoughtful photographer capturing the essence of a well organized german city; extra points for shooting on a rainy day (instead of spending time in a bar :))) - well done!

Select the background and the foreground will compose itself :) Yes, so true. I am with you on this sentence. And the result is evident. Catching four umbrellas in a row is not easy... And umbrellas exercise some kind of magic on photographers. Great shot with nice rainy colors.

içeride bir çukulata çeşmesi mi görüyorum yoksa artık her baktığım yerde yiyecek birşeyler gördüğüm için bana mı öyle geliyor bilemem ama ben de şemsiyemi kapıp sıraya girmek istedim arkadaşların ardında sırf bu yüzden... renkler de kompozisyon da şahane, üstelik üstteki kesik pencerelere rağmen... çamur at izi kalsın,lol!:)...

The perfect timing, I think, is the secret of this photo.
The four umbrellas are perfect placement into your frame giving such a good result that you think they were there waiting you to make the photo.
The saturated colours is the reference point from this photo and the photo before.
I think Germany was quite creative for you, or... Andreas company?

Hi Deniz, this is a lovely shot and I couldn't agree more with your statement about selecting the background etc. Your photo is a case in point. I love the warm, cosy glow of the light inside the building, and the symmetry of the people's umbrellas going by. Well seen and composed!

Hi Deniz,

This is an exquisite street shot, largerly in part because you have carefuly chosen the background, like you’re mentionning in your note. This is something Luko teach me, about selecting the right decor and the actors will take place by themselves...

So you make an excellent demonstration of this theory, and now I can only suscribe to it and try my luck on one for myself. I guess the rain and umbrellas only contribute to make it even more interesting.

It reminds me the movies with Jacques Tati (Salvatore Dali of a French cinema !).
Slightly surrealistic, extremelly decorative movie sets were in his productions.
The traffic is slowly passing in front of our bemused eyes...
