Photographer’s Note
A photo from exactly two years ago.
A tea picker at this tea plantation place . Tea pickers use large lightweight bamboo baskets to transport the fresh plucked tea leaves. The baskets are emptied at nearby locations to avoid carrying too heavy a load for a long period.

Hi Cessy, A very well composed shot, the tea picker in the sea of green, excellent DOF & superbly framed, this must be hard work, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Cessy!
I like to see so much green! And a careful worker.
Her hat is an important element of the composition.
Maybe you could use a wider depht of field - anyway the subject is perfect!
Nice work

Cessy, this is a very good shot I think. The slight motion of the picking hand makes it so. The rest is colorful and detailed and the expression on the picker's face is good, and even thought the leaves form a solid green mass there is a diagonal component that makes it ver exciting. Well seen.

Hello Cessy,
Effectivement, le même vert dans les champs de thé et dans les vignes que je présente ! Le cadrage est très bon et permet de mettre l'accent sur le travail de cette personne qui semble absorbée et concentrée !
Bravo !

Great composition with this woman emerging from this sea of leaves and light. Great colors, the hat giving a nice touch in all this green. Very well done.

Hi Cessy,
A nice daily life scene from Indonesia. I like the way this woman seems totally drowned in the the middle of the tea plantation and the blur on her hand give a pleasant dynamic touch to the compo.
Have a nice day.

Hi Cessy,
I see you still have good stuff to post from your Indonesia trip, I like the right framing here because the eye is drawn at once to the tea picker.
when is your next home leave trip ?
Have a nice day,

Hi Cessy. I like very much the way you used the tight DOF here to seamlessly control your focus. By doing that it actually helps accentuate a foreground out of the tea leaves. It looks to be rather hot and humid when you took this. When I think of Java I think of coffee of course but not tea. Thanks for enlightening me! tfs Cessy.

Hi Cessy.
Wonderful work where the scene and the deep are very well used.
You shot in the right moment and we can appreciate a very nice moment. We are close this woman but she doesn't mind our presence.
Well done.

Great compostion Cessy. Perfect placement of the woman. The colors are excellent with the bright yellow and red hat really standing out against the greenery. Nice and sharp and perfect focus point with DOF. Just an all around great looking photo.

Hello Cessy,
Beautiful scene well composed and which opposes vast wide tea to be gathered and only one gatherer at work. It must be a heavy work.
Have a good day

As always you have some amasing colours here and the subject itself is great. Looks like a very peacefull occupation, or at least the picutre shows a calm moment of the womans day. Good positioning the subject. One suggestion I would make is make the greens a bit more darker to bring out more colours out of the tea leaves. Make them pop more.

Hi Cessy,
This is a wonderful composition. The subject seems to be almost floating on that sea of green leaves. The focus not too deep so as to slightly soften her surroundings. The detail, clarity and colour spot on.Well done and take care.

We see a lot of pictures from tea plantations on TE, Cessy, but I like this one because of the tight framing and the placement of your subject in the shot. However, I think an even tighter crop and conversion to a 6x4 format (which to me always looks more natural) would would have worked well too (see Workshop). Cheers . . . David

Hej Cessy,
Great photo of this tea plantation and the tea picker. The tea picker is placed very well in the composition. The many leafs create a great repetitive pattern. The colours are really pleasing. Well done!
