Ciao Paolo,
Congratulations for reaching these heights, and a happy birthday to Paolino !
I like here the angle that places me as the direct follower right into the action in this descending perspective.
Buona fine di settimana,

Hi Paolo,
I’ve been up and down these stairs, try to figured out a way to create a nice photo of it, but your version is way better than what I could achieve. Very clever decision to put another asian icon in the stairs, to visually break the symmetry of the location, while opting for a centered composition.
I think this sepia version is very interesting to reveal all these textures in a very esthetic way.
Happy San Paolo! Happy Birthday to your son!

600 pictures...wowww, i will never get that much here i think. You are very dedicated to this site, that shows.
Hi Paolo,
Congrats on you son birthday.
I was here two years a go, took the elevator up, and the stairs brought me down. Nice how you put a Thai in front instead a busload of tourists...good work.
Have a nice weekend, Henk

What a shot, Paolo, eh? An older scan but a good one. Great perspective looking down the famous steps of Doi Sutep in Chiang Mai. Lovely pic.
All the best to you,

Hi Paolo
This is an interesting view to celebrate so many events! The POV and perspective are fascinating, the pose of this chap is well captured and I like the walls on each side which seem to be representing a dragon? Congrats and enjoy your day!

600, already?!?!? In two years and four months? Wow, you really don't rest a bit, do you, Paolo? Great b&w perspective down the stairs with a perfect inclusion of the seller carrying the goods in foreground. The winding dragons on the sides are like a roller coster to my eyes :-) Congratulations for the number on this very special day, for you and your little one - I see that you planned everything well.
All the best and good continuation on this virtual space :)

Ciao Paolo,
Your image is about descending the steps but your numbers here on TE are all about climbing and what a number of steps you've climbed already, 600?!?. This is really impressive and shows well your dedication to the site and to photography itself.
I really like your choice for today which in some parts may be related with the different hard work you have here on TE. I like this two dragons going down along the stairs and the hard descent this person is having carrying his stuff whie the others (tourists I suppose) simply are enjoying themselves throughout the staircase.
Cheers and congratulations once again.

Ciao buon WE!

Yesss,
After all those marvellous scapes of sky and sea, this one has that humane touch that i love in photography. Sephia and scan grains work well and the depth with the dragon stairs are perfect. TFS Paolo,

600! Congratulations and also Happy Birthday to your son. Somehow it would have been a bit more satisfying to have worked it to have 300 from Italy at the same time ;D
The composition works brilliantly with the Thai person in the foreground carrying the paniers. Excellent perspective and good detail captured in the nagas' backs.

Hi Paolo!
Very good photo of this amazing place! It's really a long way, fortunately I've only done it on the way down when I was there. I really like this composition with this seller in the foreground and then those endless stairs. Sepia is great here! And congratulations for your 600th post. Will be waiting for the next 600th, you still have many places to visit :)

Hi Paolo,
A long walk for this man .. At least it is down I suppose .. he seems to lead us between the dark mysterious trees down into his world. ... Thank you for giving this place your images and presence. Happy Birthday to your wee one.
take care,

Yo Paolo!
Great composition! I feels that we are in the basket that he is carrying! I like this photo black and white as it feels to me as a documentation rather than a presentation. Also like the centred approach having the balance of the stairs and railings on either side.
Cheers
