Photographer’s Note

After two days with wet hiking boots after walking on the nearby glacier Drangajökull, we decided to explore the beauty of the coastline.
This area is called Tirðilmýri (Tirdilmyri) and is close to the most northern part of Iceland, Hornstrandir.

Iceland is just below the polar circle and although the sun sets, there is still light all day long. So to get a good night sleep in the tent, it's a good idea to have something to darken your eyes with.

I must say that we were very lucky with the weather on our 13 days trip. Only one day with full rain and then some days of rain in the night. Unusual...

Voila un paysage comme je les aime, de vastes étendues de montagnes et d'eau. C'est une belle carte postale, avec ces reflets, c'est tout simplement renversant !
Ton voyage devait être très intéressant (je souhaite bien y aller un jour)

You shew beautiful calm place. I like gentle colours and composition with reflections on water . Interesting sky and bright background contrast with darkly piece of coastline very well.

des terres arides et sauvages, mais loin d'être inacueillantes tellement leur beauté n'est plus à démontrer.
Beauté renforcée par la qualité de la prise de vue.
J'aime beaucoup les reflets et le ciel, ces montagnes qui sembles si loin.

I would like to go to Iceland myself, and seeing a shot like this really enhances this.
