Photographer’s Note

Part of the Southhampton travelogue. I've pictured this view of the port through the plane window. I think the football stadium is St Mary Stadium but I'm not sure. It is a classical picture but I like those kind of views that remind me the Simcity game. I also think there isn't enough aerial shots on TE.

Clever title, Rudy, it really is a bit reminiscent of the computer game. Interesting cityscape along the winding river with harbor/industrial areas as well as the residential areas and the stadium well captured. Good colors, I would probably have tried for even a bit more sharpness. Thanks for sharing!

Added to the "seen from the plane" theme (where you will find around 90 other aerial TE shots, it's not much but a start ;-)

Les vues aériennes donnent souvent l'impression de voir un paysage de jeux. L'activité de la ville est bien capturée et le titre tout à fit bien choisi. Que du bon...

Pas évident,je crois, la photo aérienne... mais je trouve que ça rend bien comme compo avec un peu de tout, maisons, bateaux... comme le titre l'indique.

Very good title. The colors and appearances of the buildings, vehicles and greenery really is very SimCity. More so than other shots I have seen from the air. Even the bridge is just like the generic bridge in the game. It really does make everything look like a toy. Just something to mess around with. Maybe throw in a tornado, after saving the game, of course :). Nice shot.

The football stadium is St. Mary's. This is the river Itchen and the bridge on the right is the itchen toll bridge. further to the right is the Vospers shipyard that is now being demolished. The green area in the centre is Peartree green. I enjoyed seeing my home town at this angle, nice picture
