Photographer’s Note

My latest trip : Romania. What could be better for this series than a true fortress of old, a romanian castle.

This is the fortress of Targu Neamt, most will notice that it is a ruin in pretty good shape, some will like that it is not too much known and thus interesting if you don't like tourist in your shots.

For my part, I was amazed by the architecture of the citadel. The castle is built on the top of a high stone stand (seen on the picture - I would say 20-30 meters high). Then, the only entrance point is a long (100 m), narrow bridge (not shown here) that is curving around the castle.

So beside besieging that place, it is so well designed that no one could take this castle otherwise.
