The Glaciers National Park
The absolute "star" of all the Glaciers in the park is the Perito Moreno, over the south branch of Lake Argentino. It has an imposing front wall of 5 km. and it is 60 meters tall.
Minitrekking on Perito Moreno Glacier
Specialized guides take the group (approximately 20 people) along a coast path that leads to the southern margin of the glacier after a 30 minutes trip. There, helped by experts, metallic nails in shoes are put, necessary to walk on ice.
Also, the basic technique to use them is explained and a speech about glacier origin, regional flora and fauna is given.
From there, you begin to climb towards the glacier slowly, walking for about two hours, stopping occasionally just to take some pictures.
It's a unique opportunity to appreciate the different formations of the glacier (drains, cracks, etc.) and the varied tonalities of the ice that constitute a show by themselves.

buona domenica, ciao

How small are 'we'?! I think you really feel tinny on this glacier. And you kept that well at this photo. The different colours of the ice are great.

Impresionante toma, el glaciar con esa gente disfrutándolo y ese pequeño fondo que nos da mayor perspectiva y profundidad.

Hello Matteo,
The glaciel blue provided a nice backdrop to the silhouettes of walkers. Recording this color is not always easy. I also like the composition here in that you have left a small triangle of water with two boats in the frame. Regards,
Hakan

Great !
A point of view that is unusual to see. All pictures were always taken from the small piece of earth we see in the right top. Your photo illustrates perfectly the Perito Moreno : the channel, the boats approaching the glaciar front, the walking on glacier, the marvellous blue colors of ice, the immensity and the beauty of the place.
The colors are very natural. The exposition good.
I like very much your vision of Perito Moreno.
Cheers,
France
