Photographer’s Note
on rainy and gray days like these days, you would want a clear blue sky as I enjoyed very much in Oslo.
It was at Oslo's ferry harbour, infront of city hall
I was there during the easter holidays .
quiet, cold, but beautiful day I had

Hi Cessy!
That's really Oslo! The townhall and at the right the hill with the castle. Reminds me of a vistit some (allready!) two years ago and a jazz-bar at night ... but that's a completely diferent subject :-)
Of course the wide-angle leads to some distortions and maybe I would have chosen to crop the pcture to a panorama, leaving the main blue sky part out?
Still a nice shot!
Many greetings, Mike

Hi Cessy. I love the use of the wide-angle here to get a result that jumps off my screen. It's not easy at all using polarizers with wide-angles but I don't see any tell tale indicators that you used one. I could stare at that sky all day long. Very nice one Cessy!

Hi Cessy,
I recognize this brown building on the left, was there in... 1984 ! A nice view that radiates the wide angle, good you had the few clouds in the sky, but some might find the upper part of the sky too dark, however I like the pola ;-)
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Cessy. A very nice take from the Oslo harbor, with a good use of the various ships and vessels to create an interesting foreground layer against the city's portside architecture. Nice lighting and good details, but I find the polarizer effect to be a little overpronounced (not always easy to use them with ultra-wide lenses).

Hej Cessy,
A lovely view from the harbour of Oslo to the city. The boats are a nice addition to the foreground in front of the city hall. The blue sky is really attractive with also these fine clouds. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Lars

Hello Cessy
Nice use of the grand angle
I like the overall view of the city.
THe blue colour dominates a bit too much the photo though, and I think the photo would hav emore impact if the buildings had more colour/contrast.

Daniel

Well Cessy, maybe lots of places was closed this day you visited Oslo - good thing then that you wasen't experiencing like the American asking a guide at a time (true story): "When do they close the fjords?"
From the pier of Aker Brygge you made a fine shot of the pier C and the town hall in the back. Low horizon to include a big part of the fine sky good for the compo.
