Dangerous POV to Gordes Photo

Photographer’s Note

Before posting this view I looked at TE photos: as I were guessing, there are several pictures from the same POV. Many TE friends risked their lives stopping in the same curve of the main road, in the middle of cars and buses!

Well: this is mine! I enter in the competition. It was so a gorgeous view!

Some short note for this famous place, from Wikipedia:
Gordes is a mountain village and commune in the Luberon area in the Vaucluse département in Provence, France. Gordes is a great address of the North Luberon Valley. The most famous montagne of this group is the Mont Ventoux, a prestigious road cycling destination dubbed the "Giant of Provence".
All the buildings in Gordes are made of stones and use terracotta tiles on roofs. No fences are aloud, only stone walls. All electricity and telephone cables had been put underground. Stone pavement on streets. A unique place full of charm !

This really does look like a charming town, and the pov is excellent - worth taking the risk! The positioning of the town looks rather dramatic and the view across the plain is stunning. And the lighting, although rather harsh, has produced nice contrasts.

Mi tocchi nel profondo Livia, ho ottimi ricordi di questo posto, a parte le zanzare... Veramente bello e affascinate.
Complimenti per la foto, non ho avuto questa occasione, avevo i bimbi troppo piccoli per "perdere" tempo in questo modo, e vedo questa tua versione con molto piacere.

Bonjour Livia,
C'est un site superbe que le Luberon et ses merveilleux villages. J'y étais souvent passé il y a voilà bien longtemps. Je me souviens des couleurs ocres et calcaires de cette région. C'est ce qui m'a frappé en voyant ta photo dans lequelle je constate que les façades des maisons et les toits sont pâles. Du coup j'ai fait un rapide workshop que je te soumets.
Ceci dit, et comme tu le dis si bien, le POV est formidable... et je ne me risque pas avec ma photo ;o)

che magnifica vista su questo bellissimo villaggio che a suo tempo doveva essere proprio inespugnabile, grazie alla sua locazione, alquanto da capogiro. A posteriori e visto che non ti é successo niente, meritava rischiare.
