(this photo was taken from a moving vehicle) : 3 animals are grazing where they can find something to eat, but soil erosion is really a problem in Haiti, due to overpopulation since centuries. A small, modest farm is visible behind the trees.

For your information, 2 other (not better) photos of the same road have been added in the workshop : here and there

Soil erosion is also damaging the fishing industries : as layers of mud are brought into the sea by the rivers when there are heavy rains, the fishes cannot find any more plancton and other food and are slowly disappearing towards the high seas...
