Photographer’s Note

In the centre of Petionville, where it is relatively safe to walk, a street vendor displays colourful paintings and some metallic objects for decoration, also painted in bright colours.

Haiti is full of bright and happy colours and the people have a great sense of art, music is also full of joy and there are outbursts of life everywhere...

hi Catherine,
it is a great background, great location..but if you ask me, trying to cover everything makes the photo weak here..it makes it look crowded and lovely details are lost..I tried a simple crop trying to explain what I mean..I recommend you to focus on an area, sometimes even a face is not necessary to show a person..

Though the photo seems a little crowded, the natural colors and nice soft light makes it a good shot indeed. Amazingly colorful objects of every kind! Nice job and good note too.

What a big disposal of street art. Sometimes, I think I could be happier in a place like this, making this kind of art to sell, cleaning up my head of all the preconceptions we have in big cities...I like the colorful wooden trucks.
