Photographer’s Note

Hello,
1st day of 2007! My wife was behind me patiently waiting for my work to finish. I was on a wall shooting from left to right making a panorama :)

This is a 9 image, 5 exposure stitched together HDR Panorama. By the way, those 9 images were shot handheld.
5 exposures then were extracted from each of the 9 RAW (NEF) files and each exposure differ from each other by 0.3EV. Every 9 frames with the same exposure value got stitched and then they were all ready for the HDR operation.

HDR is simply merging different exposures to keep the highlights from blowing and the shadows being too dark. It also minimizes noise.

I hope you like it.

PS: This is a re-Post of the image and this time a Panorama large version included. You can view the LARGE version from the link on the left. The reason for the re-post was the cropping needed for a large version.

I would like to thank Deniz (rigoletto) for bringing Large panorama option to my attention. I wasn't aware of this option.
