Photographer’s Note
As Jerzy pointed out yesterday, there's certainly something different about Wroclaw from other Polish cities. I think it may have something to do with the virtually whole population of the city being transplatned around 60 years ago. The result is a dynamic city with a very work-a-day feel to it, a place to work in, and with lots of architectural delights too, probably second only to Krakow.
The solid structure of this old arcade near the main station, with the guy pausing on his way to work seemed to catch the atmosphere about right for me.

hi richard,
this is a hip photo, isnt it? and as such, with this tilt, it is not the best thing you could have done.... there is no worry to photograph people on the streets in a "normal" way here in poland, you shouldnt worry next time...
i think that both the place and the model selected are all right but this hip-technique spoilt the set-up somehow, i think...
by the way - wish you had posted a colour version in the ws...

Not bad at all this one,Richar with tat slight tilt and the long perspective through the arches I believe you captured something essential abut the place, and that's pretty goo in my bok...
Best,
Francis

Hello Richard,
I think you have been successful in capturing the atmosphere of this place. I also like the tilt and the perspective of the shot. I just wonder, whether it would have added to the shot to get the man's full shadow - with a few steps to the right.
Best regards,
Andrew

A great tilt and hip shot Richard, I like how you managed to take this man standing there unawares, works very well that he didn't know he was photographed! I like the colonnades behind him receding in the distance, too, a bit of Wroclaw itself.

hmm, nicely taken. the tilt does work for me here. the repetitive columns make for a good element in this frame.
