Photographer’s Note

As Jerzy pointed out yesterday, there's certainly something different about Wroclaw from other Polish cities. I think it may have something to do with the virtually whole population of the city being transplatned around 60 years ago. The result is a dynamic city with a very work-a-day feel to it, a place to work in, and with lots of architectural delights too, probably second only to Krakow.

The solid structure of this old arcade near the main station, with the guy pausing on his way to work seemed to catch the atmosphere about right for me.
