Photographer’s Note

Back to the Foro Italico, north of Rome, near the stadium of the marble statues. This building houses the national Italian swimming team and the walls of the swimming pool display spectacular mosaics that I will post in the next few days if this is of interest to you.

I was attracted by the grandeur of the statue, seemingly despising the skater below

Hey Eric,

sexual attracion? Well, the woman seems interested :) Why shoot at f/18? I think the impact would have been better if you got her sharper, that way ger feminine identity would have been clearer. I do like the framing very much however.

Haha, it is a funny one! The pose of the sculpture could not be more haughty and filled with despise :-)))
Love the way you captured an innocent bystander in front... I'd LOVE to see his face!
