Photographer’s Note
During the Venice carnival, so many photographers, pros, amateurs, hobbyist, tourists, would like to take pictures of these people in costumes and masks around st. Marco square.
In my two previous photos, many thought I partial desaturated the picture whereas not. Now I did partial desaturate :). just to emphasize between the 'models' and the 'photographers'.
If you go to Annecy, france today or tomorrow, you can see these people again (I met with them last year, using the same costumes even), there is Venetian carnival going on there now.
have a nice week end

Bonsoir Cessy
la désaturation partielle va très bien dans ce genre de compo... j'aime bien le cadrage choisi avec cette foule de photographes devant ces costumes colorés. Beau travail

Hi Cessy,so we are neighbor in the gallery.
I must say that I like the partial desaturation you did here,as it emphasizes the difference between the 2 worlds, giving all the importance to the world of imagination and dreams, while the real world is,in this situation, unreal.
Good composition by the way,Good to see all the activity going on,so many big cameras out there..
Have a good WE

Bonjour, Cessy.
Cette idée est parfaite ici - les photographes en noir et blanc, les sujets en couleurs, voilà ce qui fait cette scène.
Très bon cadrage.
Amicalement, Grazyna.

Hi Cessy
I saw many Venice carnaval photos and was always wondering where and how this was happenning.. now i understand, seing your picture, many photogs comes and these guys are posing... i like this POV showing all the photographers... and your partial desaturation job achieves what you wanted, emphasis on the difference..
Well done

Hi cessy
A little soft, but superb use of partial desaturation. I like the crowd of intent photographrers at left. Tfs!

Hi Cessy,
I'm not usually a fan of partial desaturations, but I think it was a good idea to use it here. I like your POV that shows us a different view of the Venice Carnival, not only the beautiful costumes, but the crowd that one is confronted to when you go there for this event. This really confirms the idea I had: too many people for me!
Have a nice Sunday.

Destauration works so weel here with the pink colors you left intact. So well done with the photographers in a different dimension. Good job!

Hi Cessy. That was a great idea just to keep the focal point in color. And with those great colors it’s an even better idea to keep it in color. This is a very busy shot and I think making most of it b/w helps simplify things. Great shot Cessy.

Hi Cessy,
There are again all the paparazzi. Excellent idea to isolate the "models" form the "photogrphers" through desaturation. It gives such an interesting focus on two so complete worlds. Why not desaturationg also the column. It seems to be to white and competing with the model on the right.
Cheers, Peter
