Como mensiono en mi foto anterior en un viaje relámpago a NJ, visité NY por un único día.
Además de la foto del edificio Chrysler el cual considero hermoso, el imponente Empire State también merece una fotografía.

El Edificio Empire State, actualmente el más alto de Nueva York (Empire State Building, en inglés) es una torre de oficinas de 102 plantas ubicado en la ciudad de Nueva York. Su nombre proviene del apodo del estado de Nueva York, el Estado-Imperio.
Fue construido entre 1929 y 1931, durante la Gran Depresión. Cuenta con 102 plantas y un total de 381 metros de altura (443,5 m si se considera la antena superior). De estilo art decó, fue diseñado por el estudio de arquitectos Shreve, Lamb y Hermon.
...Superó al Edificio Chrysler y se convirtió en el símbolo de poder de los Estados Unidos, siendo el rascacielos más alto del mundo por 42 años. Perdió este título en 1974, cuando se inauguró la Torre Sears, en Chicago y también el de edificio más alto de Nueva York un año más tarde, en 1975, con la inauguración de las Torres Gemelas. Desde el atentado contra las Torres en septiembre de 2001, el edificio ha vuelto a ser el más alto de Nueva York.

As I mention in my previous photo in a very quick trip to NJ, I visited NY only one day.
In addition to the Chrysler Building which I consider beautiful, the imposing Empire State building also deserves a photography.

The Empire State Building was designed by the architectural firm Shreve, Lamb and Harmon, which produced the building drawings in just two weeks, possibly using its earlier design for the Carew Tower in Cincinnati, Ohio as a basis. The general contractors were Starrett Brothers and Eken, and the project was financed by John J. Raskob and Pierre S. DuPont. The construction company was chaired by Alfred E. Smith, a former Governor of New York.
