Photographer’s Note
After a week of sunshine in Lappland we did have some clouds. But that only resulted in some rather spectacular light. These rays lasted only for a few moments - so I had to hurry as much as when trying to capture a street-scene. Fortunately there was a branch which made it for a foreground which, I think, contributes to the mood of this pic.

Great picture Mikkel. The light shining through the clouds is like a fine curtain one could walk through. And the reflections and ripples - awesome! Like you say those branches do help to frame everything and give your shot a landscape format. Thanks for sharing. casper

Beautiful photo..just love to see the sunrays emerging from behind that cloud..and what's even more beautiful, it's also reflected on the water, wonderful!
Included a few branches and leaves of a tree was a good idea, nice natural frame, and good filling of a less interesting place in the photo.
Like the ripplings in the water aswell.
Just a question out of interest..how do experience this lens? I wanted to buy it to, prior to buying my dSLR, but due to financial advantages..I went for Sigma's 17-70..hoping for a bit less distortion, and has also wider diafragm ranges (2.8-4.5)
Anyhow, just wanted to know what you're experience is with it :-)

This light in this place at that moment was... magic ! You captured it softly and composed it OK, with these big black parts. Well done.

Hello Mikkel
Nice landscape work, the lighting is great here. I think with this picture could be made more 'punchy' with a few photoshop adjustments so I uploaded a WS for you. Also there's a dot bottom right, probably dust on lens? I think the perspective is good here but could probably be improved...I'd like to see some foreground details or a more complete reflection of the skies. Anyway nice work.

Hi Mikkel!
So strong graphically it almost hurts:) Heavy clouds, strong rays, some branches to fill the foreground. Good!

Although there are a lot of wonderful, punchy colours in your gallery this shot stood out for me. At first it was the sunrays that caught my eye but I think it is the muted colours as well as the simple composition which make this a winner for me.
