The Lantern Store Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken one evening in Hoi An. The photo is of one of the
thousands of shops that line the streets that sell anything from lanterns to
t-shirts to jewelry. The little girl was playing as her grandmother watched. Hoi An is a wonderful pit stop for any traveler, great
place to relax and enjoy. It is beautiful, full of character, great
restaurants, nearby beaches and endless photographic opportunities. Highly
recommend it.

So nice composition with the light gives a nice sense to whole scene with woman and the litle girls.Well seen and captured!

Hi Spiros!
I`ve not been in Hoi An,but I like scenes like this you can see everywhere in Asia.3-4 genarations under one roof and their life on the street.Good shot with nice soft light and good light of the lanterns.I like the grandmother`s view at the child.

Superb exposure Spiros, just the right amount of light in the shadows to show detail and retain the night time theme. The composition of this small slice of life image is also very good.

Nice job - the atmosphere of the place really comes across well in the shot. The laterns give a nice touch of colour but also that blue light in the background is another good point. I also like that bit of interaction between the woman & the child, good idea to get them into the frame too.

Hi Spiros,
a nice scene, quite dark at first glance but still retaining many details that appear after a while, I like here the two light schemes thanks the the background blue, I thin you could crop this cut lamp on the left as it is a bit distracting.

Great capture of a daily life in Hoi An Spiros. Beautiful light and colours, the atmosphere in this picture is so relaxing, I can remember the shops and the resturants, oh, the restaurants!
