Photographer’s Note
Shops and stalls around significant places of interest have been since trade began. This fort in the old capital of Nizwa was built with them integrated into the orginal design, in arcades around the main building, they are still used today, though most colsed on the day of our visit.

Hey Richard,
isnt it funny that what for us looks exotic, for them is merely a back magazine somewhere? You did a very good job in this, framing it well, dealing with the light well. Attractive photo.

Hello Richard,
Interesting archiecture. Very nice ochre tones and excellent lighting. I can imagine what it might be like when it's full of people. Good capture.

This place is such a beautiful and wonderful example of architecture! The walls are really nice and they have a beautiful colour, too.

Nice perspective color and lighting in this well judged scene.I can't imagine better use of the vertical format.
Good one, Richard!
