Photographer’s Note
In February 2001 we visited Dubai on a stopover to Pakistan. We strolled around the city in the nice winter climate of the Arabian peninsula and came across these local workmen having a well-deserved siesta on the tools of their trade, the trolleys they use to transport goods around the city. What struck me was the way they seemed to be waiting outside the closed shoestore in the background - which they could surely use, judging from the plastic sandals parked under the trolleys.
This is a shot from before I went digital, taken with an automatic Pentax, scanned, cleaned with NeatImage and resized for the web.

La sieste c'es sacré !
L'idée est bonne et la scène est très bien composée.
The idea is good and the scene is very quite made up.

Oh yes - I like to watch this - (Det minder mig om en gang i mine unge dage hvor jeg sov rusen ud på en fiskers trækvogn imellem ruserne ;-) You got this image very nicely - the light/shadow works very well and the wall behind a nice background - thanks for sharing this holiday memories.
