Photographers Note
A beautiful Georgian bridge straddles the River Thames, with Windsor on one side of the bridge and Eton, the famous boarding school on the other side. Indeed numerous members of the Royalty, Prime Ministers, and Members of Parliament have at one time been students at the school.
I stood on the bridge, steadying my semi-authomatic Nikon-F on the ballustrade, as I shot a series of four images of the setting sun five minutes apart all different, all magnificent. Indeed, I could have selected any one of the four slides to scan, and this one lucked out as my emissary to TrekEarth. It is a twenty-nine year old image, but recorded on the timeless Kodachrome-25 slide film, known for its permanence and sharpness.

Hi Bulent!
A very spectacular shot. I rarely see such an image before my eyes, I mean in real life, and never got to shoot one. I'm refering to the lovely illumination of the clouds, to that beautiful royal crown that the sun rays createm to the redish color of the distant sky, to the nice silhouettesof the trees as well as the location on the river. That man made structure in the bottom right corner is a bit annoying but otherwise a great picture.

Hi Bulent,
fantastic shot. I like this kind of photos in which the sun comes out of a dark cloud. Perfect composition and really atmospherical.

Wonderful picture Bulent, every cloud does have a silver lining! The light here is fantastic, particularly I think the red parts above the trees. TFS. Leon.

the sun through the clouds over some water is mostly a nice composition. You did it also. I like the light stripes. TFS

the K-25 certainly kept the tones in good condition..we used to use it for flowers since it was a true colour as well..
smart shot and well lit in both planes..the sky one would expect but getting the reflection in good exposure is a bonus
a dynamic and expansive shot
cheers

Hello Bulent,
very dramatic and an amazing sky! It was good that you were able to leave a few silhouetted trees in the picture to give it some perspective. It's a good thing you preseved and followed through - your efforts were rewarded with a wonderful opportunity to see this sunset and these colours - perfectly captured. It's an excellent picture and your notes were always so good.
Warm Regards, professor.

Hello Professor "A"
A post from your archives, with quite a small note, but image qualitywise perhaps one of your best. The scan quality is superb. A couple of things stand out...radiating rays from behind the cloud & the reflection of the sun on the water. The colour of the horizon & the silhouette of the trees also make this attractive.
With Warm Regards
Angshuman
