The Bow River, near Banff. The previous week everything had frozen, then all had thawed, and now cold was returning--such is the way winter arrives. The result was this scene.

How were you able to travel to Canada? Don't you have classes to teach?
I love the cold feeling you have captured with these two photos. I like the vertical composition of both photos as well. I like the contrast between the white snow and dark rocks. Looks like its time for the grizzlies to start their long winters nap.
