The highest peak: 628m (St. Nicolas)
Hvar belongs to the central island group of the Adriatic and lies in on east-west direction of right angles to the coast. These islands together are called "The Hvar Group". The eastern promontory of Hvar is only 4,5 km away from the mainland, while the western one races the open sea it is the longest of the Adriatic islands.

A good mix of colours created by the palms in front providing an interesting foreground which stands out against the stone houses in the back. The small part of mountain visible in the background reminds us we are in Croatia: typical colours for this area.
