Photographer’s Note

I've had a few problems of late in my attempts at photography. I've had problems finding good subjects and have shot dozens of pics, but with little success (it's also very cold here which has impeded my progress!).

So I thought I'd turn to my place of work, an elementary school here in Busan. There's 900 kids here and all of them love to pose for the camera. One small problem with that is that whenever the see the camera they'll break out into smiles and flash the victory sign.

So I tried the process of taking several shots of the same scene in the hope that the kids would 'forget' that a camera was pointing at them and behave normally.
It almost worked (see the kids in the background) but for the front two it worked perfectly.

I upped the saturation in camera a little and also had auto ISO hunt in use (a very handy little feature). I darkened the photo, applied some sharpening and cropped the photo.
