Photographer’s Note
Last August strolling around Place de la Concorde I captured some photos of the sculptures and of the amusement park close there.
I found in Wikipedia some info abouth this sculpture subject: Minotaur death. When I was a child I loved Greek myths, and not only Greek.
"In Greek mythology, the Minotaur was a creature that was part man and part bull. It dwelt in the Labyrinth, which was an elaborate maze constructed for King Minos of Crete and designed by the architect Daedalus to hold the Minotaur. The actual historical site of Knossos is usually identified as the site of the labyrinth. The Minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus.
"Minotaur" is Greek for "Bull of Minos". "

Hi Livia,
I can remember this place, as it nothing changed in the last 7 years when I was there :) And I can remember a breathtaking view from this carousel. Nice POV with the sculpture and it's story and good background with this round platform,

Bella composizione Livia, io come al solito avrei tagliato il resto del palazzo a sinistra ma conosco le tue idee, comunque complimenti, un bel punto di vista e un'ottima composizione.
Ciao

The placement of this classic statue against the background of the ferris whell lends an ironic tone to the whole. What monster must we battle if we ride the wheel? Well seen and well captured.
