Photographer’s Note
Kampong Som monastery, a food bowl that will be handy in the morning...
I liked the texture and color contrasts between the orange bowl and the almost BW stone bench. Cannot say what is written behind but khmer writing always provides nice graphics.

Another nice shot! Ideally a little more depth of field would have been cool, and I'd have been curious to have seen the ends of the ?strap?

beautiful shot, some irregular and interesting angle. I love the contrast between the bowl and the stone, too.
I bet cedarbough can ask one of her friends for translation :)
totally agree with Adrian about the strap, and the DOF (in that order)
still a great visual achievement with simple objects.

The writing says: "Presented by Grandfather Chort Thon, Kompong Som". Presumably he presented the bench to the monastery. A nice still-life, though again I miss the clarity of focus. I don't know whether this is a genuine problem with the photo, or a problem with the scanning and photoshopping. I don't often use Kodak Gold, but I've noticed when I do that it isn't as sharp as slide film by a long way.

I like this shot, and its colors Luko. As Philip mentioned, it does appear just a little soft, but it is a good shot overall.

I really like this! The lack of color everywhere else really makes this probobly already brightly colored bowl appear extremely vibrant.
I wonder though, what are those little pictures stuck to the bottom of the upside down metal dish...

How beautiful - this yellow against the grey wall, and all these various textures

Great still life Luko, and the Khmer script makes this shot intriguing IMO. It was a featured fav. photo today... and again today...

I like this shot, the alms bowl looks splendid contrasted against the greyish granite. The tin containers adds another point of constrast but not vying with bowl.
Nice!

Beautiful composition...excellent framing and amazing color contrasts and brillance...The sharpness focused on the bag texture is a smart bonus and adds a lot to the final resultin effect...ery good job!

Voici une photo qui interpelle, elle représente une vision du bouddhisme simple et tout à fait juste.
J'aime également la simplicité de ta composition et le côté un peu graphique que j'affectionne particulièrement.
bonne journée
