Palmyra, the city of Queen Zenobia !
Also called the city of a thousand columns.
A beautiful place to visit,
An exciting place for photography.
At sunset time, the limestone columns take an orange hue, as seen on this picture through a monumental arch. There are a lot of visitors, many tourists but many locals also.

Nice compo with tight collumns visible through the arch.. the silouhette adds mistery and the final touch

Olá Izzet, I love the way the shining columns stand out from the background and the contrast with the foreground. The sillouette is a nice inclusion. Very interesting composition. Have a safe trip to China.

J'ai cru un instant voir les colonades des temples égyptiens. Il y a de ces vestiges en Syrie! Dommages que les évenements actuels ne donnet pas trop envie de s'aventurer dans cette zone.

Incredibly haunting photo of this immensely photogenic architectural site. The light is wonderful. The framing is wonderful. The real stroke of genius is the dark swath of figure, out of focus, in the foreground.

Izzet, c'est très bien réalisé cette photo avec le cadre fait par l'arche et la colonnade dorée à l'intérieur. La silhouette du premier plan ajoute comme du mystère au cliché.
