Photographer’s Note

On our first day's walking on the Dingle Way we came by the remains of Minard Castle. Minard Castle is a tower house built in the 16th century but partly destroyed by Cromwell's forces in 1650. It overlooks a small sandy cove, fringed by smooth shingle and offers nice views on Dingle Bay and the Inveragh Peninsula.
The Dingle Way is a 179 kilometre long-distance path starting and finishing in Tralee. We walked from Annascaul to Castlegregory in 5 days, the three central days (from Dingle to Cloghane) being the most interesting.
