Photographer’s Note

This is a view on Gdansk/Danzig from the steps of the townhall. I was in Poland for a little escapade this week end...unfortunately the wheather let me down the day I visited Danzig! However the city is so colorful and beautiful that I still enjoyed it very much. Charged with history this is a very interesting place to visit.

Hi Leonie. That's too bad about the weather as it looks like a beautiful place with a bit better weather. I'd be tempted to boost the saturation and contrast to help put it back where it's supposed to be.

Leonie, you are right, the weather didn't help you a lot, but you still managed quite well to capture a good busy weekend crowd with the colorful bg. The big crane on top of the buildings should be removed with some WS.

again no landscape shot, but one of Gdansk. i think you did do it very well here with this kind of wet weather, well composed, good job.

Hi Leonie -you're right, the light is pretty dull, and the crane is somewhat unsightly, though the charming and harmonious architectural style saves the day. The overall mood is that of winter rather than August.

de bien jolies facades ici, dommage qu'il n'y avait pas un petit rayon de soleil pour faire ressortir les belles couleurs.
Dommage pour la grue aussi mais tu n'en peux rien :)

So as I may see you have visited also Poland!
Good shot of Gdansk, its really beautiful but of course when the shine shines its much more pleasant to see it...

You cought the atmosphere of this city, even if most of people is having umbrella:) The biuldings are looking great, but what to hell that crane was doing there:)))))))?
