Photographer’s Note

The woman is a seller of charcoal in village Perinet, adjacent to Analamazaotra Special Reserve (better known as Perinet or Andasibe). The reserve is estimated as Madagascar's most popular reserve (up to 300 visitors a day according to Bradt's Travel guide 2001). Perinet is synonomous with the world's largest lemur, the Indri, that is protected in the rain forest on the territory of reserve.

Hej Andrzeju,
To ciekawa fota z cyklu daily life. Wlasnie to chce zobaczyc, jak ludzie tam zyja, ja prawie nic nie wiem o tym kraju, a jestem bardzo ciekawy. To zdjecie jest o czyms, a swoja droga ciekaw jestem jak wygladaloby w cz.b. z mocnym PP. Chyba sprobuje w wolnej chwili.

This is not a postcard picture. Which is many more important, it shows a cutout of the everyday life in Madagascar. The simple living conditions are very well represented in the photo. The photo could appear in a book concerning Madagascar. Many greetings, Wolfgang

I like any picture, especially about a place, that tells a story! There are many stories to tell here. Good PoV, colours tones and textures all add to the natural composition. The picture is quite sharp, but I feel could be a little sharper. I like it very much, well done! pozdrawiam,
