Photographers Note
We were on our way to the north of Bali, a small town called Singaraja. The curvy road leads to the heights of Bali, and there are several big lakes and mountains on the way. One of them is Lake Bratan, and there is a small shrine on one of it's tiny islands. I know that it was a matter of luck to find out that an important gathering was taking place on that day. Nicely dressed crowds were embarking boats and taking their baskets full of offerings to the temple. Probably one of the most spectacular sights of my carreer. There was no sun on that day, but I think that the gray also suited this colorful scene.

Hello Izzet
voisin du jour, dis donc la numerisation et la compression ont salement endommagé ton image, j'aime bcp ce festival de couleurs au premier plan, qui contraste avec le reste de l'image. Et le grand angle donne une legere distorsion qui accentue le mouvement ...
Belle image

Hi,
This is a fantastic image. If we remove the people from the picture this picture would look like a painting. Well captured & very well done.

Dear Master,
I like festival colors in ceremony. Small islands with temples under sky color is perfect. Congratulations.
Best Regards,

Hi Izzet.
Many time you give to us very interesting (and also good) daily lifes. And this is one of them.
The people and the scene by itself creates a good photo.
Well done.

Hocam merhaba,
su ve gökteki grilik içinde rengarenk insan ve kayıklar canlı bir sahne oluşturmuş. Selam ve iyi dilekler...

An interesting and rather vivid scene, Izzet. The distinctive pagoda-shaped shrine makes a good compositional anchor, and the activities in the foreground give a colorful and lively touch. Often, on such overcast days, the low light actually helps to enhance the color contrasts and I think that this is also the case here. The scanning quality, while not exactly brilliant, is still good. Interesting notes, too.

An old image, evident from its antique chrome, with a sweeping vista.

Hi Izzet,
Nice Photo, well captured. Colorful outfits and boats are suited well with grey color of a foogy morning.
Great shot.

Merhaba Izzet
This is one of the best photos I've seen of Ulun Danu temple on Lake Bratan...I've been to Bali recently, but unfortunately I did not encointer the local ceremony there & so I see it through your picture. The temple's spectacular against the backdrop of the mist & these people on their way to offer their worship provide a colourful and added dimension.
Regards
Angshu
