Photographer’s Note
This is certainly not going to be the best photo in my gallery, not even the second or third but I have two reasons to post this one.
First I want to contribute to Richard's "My earliest shot" theme, and this is the oldest photo negative I have found in my archives, this one is from 1984 but if I remember well I began to take photos in 1977 in London, no traces left. This has been scanned not from a 24*36 negative but from a one much smaller, so small the resulting scan was barely 1100 pixels high.
This photo shows a street on the Greek island Paros, which is identifiable by the church and the floating Greek flag. And this is my second reason to post this one, to color yet another country on my map, today Greece, a photo I kindly dedicate to my friend Mpampis

Salut mon ami
It's surprising and of course my honor to dedicate a photo of yours! :) Thanks a lot!
Speaking technicaly, ok it's not your best but under the conditions you scanned it, it's nice! I like the POV and framing.
Thanks again mon ami! :)

Salut Jean Yves,
bonne soiree!
amicalement,
cherubin

Bonjour Jean Yves,
It's refreshing to find some one was old enough to take a pic in 1984 rather than telling me, "That was before I was born." I like the church and the flag and the historical value.

Hi Jean-Yves. Let's just say how far you've come! ;) The POV, sharpness and composition are below what you'd normally do these days. But I admire your bravery in posting this. I might have to look around my old stuff to see what I can find. tfs JY.

Hello Jean Yves,
eh ben tu sois quoi ? 2 choses.
Bon dimanche

Hello JY - the nordic style crown of the belltower is very interesting as well as the "historical" aspect of the posting itself, great documentation, I was drunk for most of the time on Paros, but still have a some photos, maybe someday I will post here, is that guy a member of the Stray Cats... or A-Ha???

Hi Jean Yves,
Regardless of technical imperfections, the sense of composition is already there.
What caught my eye is the lower part, it's colours and perspective. Very interesting. Have a look at the WS.

Kalimera, Jean-Yves.
Jacques
