Photographer’s Note
Welcome tonight to the allegory contest for the burmese situation, including vertical bars and sorts.
..and what if the Burmese people were continuously walking on thin bamboos, jumping from one dark cell to another, trying to reach each other and avoiding the daily traps or the various bans that their ubuesque government display randomly.
yeah... hmmh.. what about that?
Your turn, Animesh, Mark or whoever wants to take part of the stalking Furachan squad ;D ...

Hi Luko,
I saw this kind of bamboo scaffolding in China, they use it also when building skyscrapers, and it looks so fragile and scary, but it is very very strong,
They look like music notes, and they have the rythm..

This is "stalking" of the highest order, or perhaps just "hanging by a thread...:o))
Seriously this is the perfect continuation and illustration in human terms of what i began yesterday, like a close-up shot of te situation in the country. Still imprisoned, and the "slender reeds" are here again, this time in the shape of a perilous scaffold.
This stalking is a win-win situation dince it affords many TE members the chance to see work of this caliber, Luko.
Thanks for this,
Francis

Luko, firstly I am amazed by the rendering of the colors here! What I love here the most is some how the symetry of the scaffolding bamboos and the window frames. TFS. Bala

Excellent composition. U have captured the story wonderfully. Nice colourtone as well.

Seeing construction sites like this and what the people have to work with always amazes me. Over here in Perth, if the sandwiches aren't hot enough for the construction workers lunches then we'll get a 3 day strike, seeing this photo makes me wanna print it off and show it to them next time they strike for a petty reason.
A nice artistic shot, and I enjoy the squares which 'construct' the image.

thats a good one, great match with Francis'! i hope this image and its note is not going to start another windmill type of world-wars soon, lol! Love the geometry here, nice rule of thirds.

A terrific pattern, Luko, and you guide us through this jigsaw...I can almost see one of them jump into one dark rectangle and pop out through another...What an interesting idea! THe color of darkness is so deep here, and the wall just right. You are the absolute master of tonality here in TE. Such a simple sight, yet so difficult to achieve the balance you did.
Now, about stalking...yes, I would love to but no bambo0 in my stock. Too bad!

Bien vu
bon WE

nice, somehow reminds me of your sri lankan shot of the stilts fishermen.. love the pattern.. looks even scarier when they're 10 storeys high..
well, o.k. let's keep on stalking, i'll dig into my archives.. i'm sure i have some bamboo shots... in fact i think i remember this building just across from the market (careful you don't become the "stalkee"..!)

Salut Luko.

As I'm looking at this at my office on the 13th floor (a coffee break ;D), there is a man outside my window perched on a scaffold without a harness. In China they still use bamboo to erect skyscrapers.
I wish I could see the faces of the men although I guess that's not the point of the picture. To me this is all about shapes--I count over 30 rectangles and triangles--and colour--who would have thought concrete had so many tones?

s'lut Luko
he bien désolé I am de retour :)
impressionnant ce pseudo échafaudage
belle construction d'image (ok jeu de mots, jeu de mots ... trop fort nono)
ouaip bel équilibre et jeu d'équilibre (olé, V2 ... :))

hello luko,
walking on bambus with buckets!
i like the graphism. men in the photo have become part of the wall and bambus, they wore nearly the same colors.
regards,
omer
