Photographer’s Note
Just came back after a great TE weekend meeting in Rotterdam – thanks to Bert, Elaine and Rinnie for a good job arranging and organizing the visit for us.
One of the first points of the program was a harbour trip on the Maas with the Spido ships – The skyline of Rotterdam quite impressive and when visitors approaches the city can it be seen at a long distance due to the flat landscape – Its called the Rotterdam Rockies as it looks like mountains.
I not sure about the 1-shaped building but the tower in the background called the Euromast and its 100 meters high – From the platform can you get a fine view over the city – I still remember this from my last visit in 1970 – got a lot of photos then, but too bad – I lost the film before it was developed.
A lot of TE-members were ready to shot this motif as it can be seen on this workshop.
(Seems we all got the same motifs – so I better post something “new” ;-)

Hej Jeppe! Well I think everyone has done great in posting different motifs, but it might get difficult as the week passes ;o) This one is a very nice one aswell, I liked that building, looks like patchwork.
Jeg regner med du kom godt hjem og tak for godt selskab på den lange tur ;o)

Hi Jeppe.
What differs this view from a classical one is the moving boat, its colours finely combined with the "1" building.
I also like the equidistance bitween the "1", red building and the tower.
The shot is equally geometrically great as well as timing is great,
Aleks

Hej Jeppe,
Hilsen,
Lars

A very modernist picture. I like the combination in blues between the "1" building and the strangely shaped boat.
Sky a bit grey, a better weather would have made for another blue in the picture.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hi Jeppe! It was nice to see you at this wonderful meeting! At the moment you took this picture, I should be looking somewhere else or discussing because I didn't saw this building!
Anyway, I like the way you framed it with the Spido boat on the a strong position in the picture. Well seen!

Hi Jeppe, A nice view to Rotterdam skyline. Good to capture the cruise ship passing by to add dynamic to this picture. The "1' shaped building is very special by its design and the colors. Thanks to the photos in the WS to well record the event.

Hi Jeppe, no problem for the same motives, in fact I´m enjoying different POV of the same spots. While seing this photo I feel like in "Star wars" or in kind of futuristic town were novels like "Walden 2" written by Skinner could take place. Were we really inside this boat? I like the WS too. I hope the train experience till Denmark was a good one. Great to have known you. Take care and I see you in the next one.

Hi Jeppe, nice to see that your back too after the long train journey back. I like the title -very appropriate with all those buildings. The inclusion of the other Spido boat is of course a bonus. Very nice! and with also a nice WS. By the way: the 1-shaped building in the 'Scheepvaart & Transport College' (Nautic School) realised in 2005. It was very nice to meet you in Rotterdam.
Take care,
Bert

Hi Jeppe,
I like the WS even more then this picture : ) I added my result of that same moment to the WS. I’m curious about Richard’s view. It will be very funny and interesting to see all the different interpretation of shared moments. It was good to meet you and maybe we will meet again at a new place.

Hi Jeppe. That sure is a futuristic looking place. I see a brown cast hanging over the shot and I bet an Auto Color in Photoshop would help. tfs Jeppe.

Hello Jeppe! You've gathered a couple of nice and characteristic elements in this picture. The combination of the Euromast, the boat and the strange building (which houses a school) is great and they are all well positioned in the frame. Good timing to get everything in place!
It was very nice meeting you Jeppe! I hope you had an enjoyable trainride back to Denmark.

Did I see this or was I too busy again with ... ?
Indeed a perfect impression of the city, most remarkable rather recent buildings and the complexity as if the river was weaved through it but extremly well organised. Colors are natural on top of the weather with a slight haze. You broke the ice, maybe some WS will follow ...
I enjoyed your fine company, greetings

Good to see your first photo from the event, Jeppe. A nice group of interesting architectural details and the other Spido boat is a fine foreground interest to have in the compo (and it even has space to "go into" towards the left, nice). The WS with the two other shooters at work is a good add. It was great to meet you in R'dam, take care.

Hello Jeppe,
I remeber the light was not so good for the spido tour, your framing with the three subjects here is however nice.

Hi Jeppe, this is really a nice one of what is going on along and on the river. i like it that you included the Spido boat, and you portray a nice piece of city development as far as housing is concerned.
Thanks for being there.

Hi Jeppe.
I passed near Rotterdam a few days ago and I was amazed by the impressive architecture of this city which was completely rebuilt after its destruction during the second world war. The architects took it as a real-life laboratory and your picture shows that very well. Thanks for sharing.
