Photographer’s Note
This is my last posting on the odoreous Fes tannery. At the terace above, where the first picture was taken, it smelled. Here at the level of the vats it smelled like thousand dead goats. Very impressive trip into the medieval time. Moroccan leather has for centuries been highly prized as among the finest in the World. At tanneries of Fes little has changes in centuries. Still using a 7000 years old technology and no safety or health regulations.

Nice picture. I like the colors and the contast. Maybe there is too much contrast on the ski, that it look so white

Michael - I haave seen pictures of this tannery before - but never this close! You certain got in amongst it! and have produced some great images with wide angle lenses. Superb!

I've admired several of your night shots with incredible technique and effects but still, my sympathy and interest goes more to this man and you captured his expression very well... You braved the foul smells (remembering guiding my groups there) and were not like the other persons seen on top, so far away...
