Photographer’s Note
This is a lezard that was climbing a dead log burned by the heat on the top of the small hill while waiting for the jeep to come back and pick me up in the Breakaway's reserve (see previous picture). All animals are huge down there. The scenery is marvelous all around (i will post a picture tomorrow to show the surroundings)and he (The lezard) was probably wondering what i was doing there... i was pretty close to it to take that shot, but i took another one from further to show the landscape surrounding. (It's was nothing compared to the huge Komodo dragon's i've seen in Bali, will post some picture later on those dragons..)

This picture was clean in photoshop and neat image and i blurred the background to reveal more details in front.

Great shot Jeff!
I like terra-colours in this pic and the pose of the lizzard (quite unusual).
Could you please update your camera details?
Good idea to blur the background.
Lovely! Post more!

I very much like the colours and the angles in this shot, gausian blur would of worked well to blur the background a little more.

Great catch Jeff. I can see that if the lizard had been on the ground you might have not seen him to to his natural camouflage. The twisted log and twisted lizard make a great pair. I like how you blurred the backgound, well done and efficient.

A beautiful grip really, the lizard which marries the tree in diagonal and same(even) we see the end of the tail. Well saturated colours and excellent composition. Very good shot!
Une belle prise vraiment, le lézard qui épouse l'arbre en diagonal et même on voit le bout de la queue. Couleurs bien saturées et excellente composition.

G'day Jeff! Wow, a great shot of a beautiful goanna (monitor lizard). I chased a large one of these up a tree once near, Gin Gin, Queensland, while trying to get a photo of it.
The browns in this shot are excellent, and catching the lizard in this position is tremendous. Well done!

raaaaaahhh c'est vraiment dommage que ce lézard soit pas rouge pétant ou bleu azur...... il ressort peu sur le fond brun beige!!!!! mais excellente photo tout y est, la netteté, la lumière, la position de la bébète bravo

Very nice work Jeff. The framing is excellent as is the focus and DOF. There seems to be a red prvailing redish cast to everything here, but can't tell if its the exposure or just the ambiant light. Still all and all a very good catch.

This is a good one. The monochromatic colors and the softness you've added in the post-processing are superb. Rhe sharp foreground allows the lizard/Komodo dragon to camouflage with its natural surrounding. Good work.
