Photographer’s Note
A shot from my trip to Angkor Wat Cambodia a couple years ago. I've seen this woman in may other photos of Angkor (she's actually situated at The Bayon (Angkor Thom).
I hope you like the photo...

Good portrait - she has such a serene air (but then I believe she's a nun..)
Beautifully sharp and exposed.
I may start a theme if no-one else has already - there must be many photos of her on TE.
Cheers

Well Dan with this color tone you have made quite an impressive image here. The wrinkles on her face and short hair really makes her unique. A very interesting image Dan.

Hi Dan. The clarity and focus is amazing. It was a great idea to use b/w in this classic-looking scene. But it's the expression that makes it so good for me. Awesome work Dan!

i think i saw this woman, but i don't remember as there were quite a few old women around angkor wat when i was there.
it's a good portrait and the tones are nice. i like your post processing to put the dark edge around the shot, but i have to say a simpler frame might have been more effective!
none the less, great shot.

she is definitely the most famous nun in Angkor! ;-) i like this close-up! no wonder she made you pay for showing her wrinkles to the world ;-) haha!

Excellent portrait of the woman. Really sharp and detailed with a good darkening effect around the edges. Contrast and the B&W is really good in this one.
