Photographer’s Note

Just 45km before arriving to Samaipata we can find the small village of Bermejo. Which is the entrance to the Serranía where you will find volcanoes and volcanic lagoons. Magnificent sub-Andean landscape like this caving that resembles the shape of an eye.

Hi Gabriel, I was at the same place 1 year ago and was also fascinated by this most beatiful rock. I guess you had a tele to get this picture, or probably you got closer than I did. I had only the opportunity to get out of the taxi and take mine (I will post mine tomorrow, so you can compare).
Knowing the place quite well I have to admit that this is really exceptionally well done photography. Are you sure you are just an amateur? I don't buy this.

Hi Gabriel, With you last post of the zoomed out view, this close up view of the cave provides the necessary nice details and texture to enjoy this natural wonder. Nice contrast and good sharpness.

Presumo que tenha sido tirado do mesmo POV que a anterior. Impressionante zoom com boa qualidade. Gosto muito das cores e da composição. Este olho rochoso é muito expressivo e tem uma cor avermelhada fascinante, que é atractiva e combina muito bem com o verde que o rodeia. Muito bem!

Ayer dije en la otra foto en plano más abierto de esta misma roca, que parecía una boca abierta de un ogro, pero hoy, en este plano, me parece más a un ojo, estoy de acuerdo contigo.

Impressive shot with a powerful composition. I like the rich red colour caused by the iron in the rocks. Nice lighting and a good capture of the shadows to add good depth to the shot. Nicely framed by the foliage in the foreground. Good work.

The shape of this cave entrance looks so much like an eye - it's almost like it was carved out the rock intentionally. The shadow under the overhang adds to this a lot. The colours of the pinky rock behind the lush green vegetation make for a striking and effective contrast. Very well executed - the exposure is perfect.

Before I noticed the country I thought this was in Zion NP in Utah USA. It looks like the top arch of a place there called Double Arches and the colour of the rock is identical. (Navajo sandstone in that case but obviously something different in Bolivia)It's on my wall as I sit here.
Good composition with the trees framing the bottom. The light/shade contrast is handled well.

Me gusta más que la anterior. Los colores y la luz son buenos, pero igualmente vigila el exceso de definición (tal vez me equivoco, podría ser un problema en la compresión... o podría ser yo quien se equivocara, pero me parece ver ruidos en la foto).

Thanks so much for bringing some of the natural beauty to the attention of the world through TE. Geological features such as this are nothing less than amazing. This pic supports my theory that none of man's work can compare with the extraordinary beauty of natures spectacular creations.
This 'zoomed it' image of your previous posting is really good. The colours are wonderful and I love the contrast of hard rock and soft foliage you've captured in this excellent photo.
Keep up the good work, my friend. If you have any, I'd love to see more photos of Bolivia's spectacular landscape.
