Photographer’s Note
Dark clouds, heavy with political symbolism, hung over Jerusalem at the time of this shot. The view is from the Mount of Olives, in the predominantly-Arab part of the city east of the Temple Mount. The east wall of the Temple Mount, and the Dome of the Rock atop it, are visible.

Hi Ken
I like this view a lot, the background is impressive, abit more contrast maybe, after scanning it, but it is ok

Hi Ken
Splendid composition and original thanks to the donkey. The light is fantastic and you've got the perfect dark grey sky. However I feel that it's lacking in sharpness which is a pity.

I love the animal in the foreground, contrasting nicely with the city behind, Ken. No doubt the title is correct in these times!

Great composition and POV, Ken. I haven't been to Jerusalem, so didn't realise until I saw your photograph that they have high rise buildings. They look so out of place against the more traditional architecture. I agree with those above who have suggested this could have done with a lttle more contrast and sharpness in PP, but as this is a scan from a 12 year old neg or print, you may have been limited by what you could do in PP. Was the donkey your transportation for the day? Cheers . . . David
