Photographer’s Note

A travers la portière de la voiture,
je peux épier sans être vu,
je peux rire en cachette,
je peux explorer sans peur,
je peux même faire des grimaces.
J'ai mis du riz sacré sur mon front pour la fête.
Je prie les Dieux parce que maman le fait.
J'aime les cérémonies parce que c'est beau.

With through the door of the car, I can look outside without being seen,
I can laugh in hiding-place,
I can explore without fear,
I can even make grimaces.
I put rice crowned on my face for the festival.
I request the Gods because mom does it.
I like the ceremonies because it is beautiful.

Salut Bertrand,
il est chouette ce portrait, la DOF est au poil, tu peux difficelement faire mieux.
Et puis ces petits grains de riz font l'originalité de ce cliché...

Salut Bertrand, Absolument splendide ce portrait, j'adore! Cette jeune fille est d'une beauté pure et c'est vraiment parfait comme sa tête sort de la fenêtre jusqu'aux yeux. J'aime beaucoup le riz sur son front et la façon du quelle le soleil joue avec ces cheveux. Le reflet dans la fenêtre est parfaite et le diagonal de la porte marche tellement bien. Excellent maitrise du DOF. Tes photos sont de plus en plus une merveille - et déjà je ne le croyais pas possible. Merci pour ces moments de grande qualité. Sabine

ce demi portrait qui s'articule avec son reflet le long de la glissière verticale de vitre est très vivant, plein de lumière.

This is wonderful Bertrand. SO beautifully captured, with this spontaneous moment, the reflection of this lovely girl in the car's window and the ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE BOKEH behind her... fantastic colours, composition. Those pieces of rice in her forehead are the Ricing on the cake....;-)

Exelente picture, you capture something unusual.
The middle of the face plus the same middle refelx in the window, adding the rices in her forehead and her eyes, makes a wondeful picture.

Très beau ca, ca me rappelle une image....de claude je crois.
C'est très joliment fait, ce petit regard, ce visage à moitié caché...touchant.
Le reflet est top et ces grains de riz donnent une touche spéciale.

un superbe portrait, qui me rappelle une photo de Claude sous la mousson, mais surtout une photo de Bertrnad Devimeux, un bon photographe qui s'ameliore non seulement au niveau de la prise de vue, mais surtout en PP ... tu nous avais déjà proposé ce format en n&b, mais il n'avait pas l'intensité de celui ci
une tres belle reussite.

Cette image est étrange car je ne comprends pas comment son reflet peut se trouver là mais c'est chouette. Sympa le soleil sur sa tête et les grains de riz. Dommage que sa bouche soit cachée. Elle a l'air de rire.

Très amusante cette photo en miroir avec juste le haut de ce visage qui dépasse de la voiture. Je préfère cette version à celle du WS car le cadrage plus serré est un peu étouffant (je trouve). Un scan d'une très bonne qualité.

This shot really brings out the inquisitive nature of a child and the reflection is a good repetition and emphasis of this point. I love the DOF which provided an interesting background without being obtrusive and the excellent division of space. Wonderful shot!! Best regards.

Sa soeur jumelle dans la réflexion de la fenêtre,double vue pour nous intimider.
Mystère dans ce visage à demi-caché,cette bouche absente,que nous cache-t-elle?
