Düsseldorf,the capital of the federal state Nordrhein-Westfalen, is (together with Cologne and the Ruhr Area )the economic centre of Western Germany.
The city is not only known as a stronghold of the
advertising and fashion industry. Düsseldorf
has become a telecommunications centre.18 internet providers and the two providers of mobile frequencies e-plus and vodafone are located here.

A view along the rhine promenade.A underexposure
of 0,3 stops and the grad grey filter made the
dark clouds even look more "heavy".
The tower on the right is the vodafone building.

Good Morning Hermann,
A excelent daily life capture with a very good enquadrement view, perspective and angle approach. Nice use of the ND filter turning heavy the clouds. Excelent diagonal lines created by the promenade path. A good POV and the dog and the people in promenade are a must in this picture that have also action and motion. Good colors, light handling and fine sharpness. Congratulations and all the best to you.

hi hermann,
actually i have the underexposure 0.7 set in my camera all the time 9with the exception of the cases when i have to force some overexposure of course, but these are rather rare cases), i somehow find the images more attractive if there is something untold, invisible, mystic, dramatic;
like this work which you posted today, full of drama,
nice work, really a very good use of both the gradgrey and the exposure settings;

a good dynamism with this way that leads us to the background. A good work on perspective. i like these persons strolling, and the dark sky enhaunces the contrast of colors, but a little too dark imo, it looks like a sky of apocalypse ... not your better, i think you shouldn't underexposed your pic as you did ...

The grey grad worked a treat on the sky making it very dramatic. The light on the river lifts the image from being too dark. The perspective of the walkway carries our eye into the frame.

Hallo hermann,
Ik herken onmiddellijk de promonade want wij hebben deze volldig te voet gedaan, het is er mooi wandelen.
Technisch is de foto zeer goed, u plaatse de leuning zodanig dat er een goed perspectief ontstaat, de bomen langs de Rijn en de brug samen met de dreigende wolken maken gewoon alle zeer aantrekelijk.

Hi Hermann, A nice capture of the perspective view of the walkway along the river bank. Good to capture the dramatic view of the dark cloud in the background. A well composed picture with good view of the river, the city and the pleasant family walking along the river.
It is a pity to see the graffiti in such nice place.

Hi Hermann, I personally like the sky like it is. I think it is a strong picture. I like the perspective and the bright colors of the people's clothes and the dog in contrast with the sky. The trees on the side are very weird, they add a lot to the picture. Tali

The textured and dramatic clouds really make this photo work, as well as the fine lighting and shadow effects. The lines and graphics take the eye nicely through the frame and what a great POV with the dog and its masters approaching up the walkway. An interesting and effective capture.

A little dark but I can relate very much to this kind of treatment, Hermann, it's what I constantly do with the D70, too. Good perspective supported by the walkway, and nice positioning of the dog and the pedestrians. The overcast sky is essential for the mood. Grüße aus Japan.

Hello Hermann, you have great contrast here, especially in the dramatic sky. The people and dog in the foreground add colour and interest. The walkway leads the eye nicely into the frame.

Daily life is indeed waiting for some better weather. This looks still rather cold and the dark clouds (underexposed or not) promises more showers, maybe even with hail.

An ordinary everyday scene added such dramatic effect Hermann - such strong lines cutting across the image in different ways - a striking sky -that red caot that sings off the sky and the green to the right - a striking image my friend!

Very lowely capture of the walking dog and walking people through the bridge. Great colours of the dramatic sky, very nice contrast between the bridge and the background. Excellent work
