Photographer’s Note

Düsseldorf,the capital city of the federal state Nordrhein-Westfalen, is (together with Cologne and the Ruhr Area )the economic centre of Western Germany.
Since the 1960s, there is a strong relationship between the city and Japan. Many Japanese banks and corporations have their European headquarters in Düsseldorf. Düsseldorf has the largest Japanese community of any European city.

Very interesting composition actually to use the cables to your advantage instead of wishing they weren't there. Although I like the image as it is two things occur to me as alternatives maybe worth a try (no WSs left today). 1.You could convert to B&W and up the contrast, as it is almost monochrome. 2.Cropping below the bridge could be an option too.
Just suggestions; not for improvement but as alternatives.

there is an excellent graphism on this picture, the contrast betwenn the bridge and the city in the background is excellent.

Hallo Hermann,
Ik ben verledenjaar nog in Düffeldorf geweest ik ben er enkele mooie beelden gemaakt, het is een mooie stad met vele mogelijkheden, wij hebben genoten van de Rijn en zijn prachtige zichten.
Deze plaats is mij wel bekend en u heeft het schitterend idee gehad om de zendmast goed te plaatsen naast de trein, hier hebben wij de drie elementen, in de lucht, mobile en boven het water van de Rijn.

Great urban view from DD, Hermann (eine der Kuriositäten der deutschen Einheit ist ja, dass Düsseldorf Autokennzeichen "D" hat, und Dresden "DD" - wäre ja irgendwie umgekehrt logischer). Good positioning of the teletower at 2/3, and well timed to have the tram just where it should be. I can of course currently relate a lot to the Japanese linkages, greetings from Tokyo :)

this is a superrb picture, what i prefer is the very "white" sky. it's in my mind or taste rare to see great picture with white main colors and here it's works perfectly.

A simple note - simple excellent graphism - even without the tram an excellent image but with the tram and car it comes alive with human movement - we can read this even if we cannot see them but as faint shadows - it's a human place after all - the delicacies of the finer lines are just fantastic.

I like this subtle, ethereal cityscape, Hermann - it speaks to me. By that I mean you're not simply serving up a "pretty sunset" or whatever but a cityscape with CHARACTER, with the railway line clear and sharp against the blueish, whispy looking background. Could be Shanghai, my friend!
