Photographer’s Note

We were on the way to Singaraja, a city on northern shore ( Java Sea ) of Bali island. On the road we came across a huge group with musicians, and men carrying dragons and women with decorated fruit baskets on their heads.
I found out that they would eventually heading at a temple and I drove past them an waited for they arrival. This picture was taken from the inside at the very moment when the women entered the temple from the typical narrow, balinese style entrance.

What a fantastic vision Izzet - life and art becoming one in the depth of detail and colour - ceremony and daily life - a really lovely presentation - but another hallmark shot which tells us of your skill in anticipation - takling and making the time so well to get the shot.

So many details and colours in this image. Great dephness and lovely repetition of the women with the baskets. An exotic picture.

Izzet, c'est une avalanche de couleurs et de formes (parfois généreuses !). Mais c'est très intéressant à voir. On se laisse prendre à tout regarder dans ce cliché.

Hi Izzet. Wow, such a rich scene, I could look at this for minutes and still have the feeling I didn't see it all. A festive mood conveyed by the women carrying the fruit offerings. Lovely colors and also a fine study of the intricate ornaments outside the temple.
