Photographer’s Note
I was supposed to spent at least one month in Bali after my return from Australia in may 1998, but it's happened that the day i arrived in Bali on may 21st, it was the same day Suharto resigned from Bali because of Economic instability and popular discontent with his rules.the climate in bali was very tense and army was everywhere, so i couldn't stay in Bali for some holidays.
Anyhow, i was transferred on a flight to California instead with an Escale to Narita airport in Japan for a few hours. (it's expensive over there!) where i was surprised to see how much security there was in the airport and the peoples were extremely polite and extremely well dressed and extra-clean... i wished i could have stayed longer, japan seems so different from Canada! But i had to take another flight. Narita airport is very huge... and impressive. I wanted to wander outside the airport but the prices asked to get in and outside the airport were too expensive... even for a few hours.
picture was taken with a flash and a non-digital camera...

Nice shot! Having the officer slightly offset really makes the image - if he were centred I think it would look too static. I'm slightly less convinced about the colour balance though - consider running AutoLevels, that should improve the slight lack of contrast and magenta cast! Good capture :-)
