At 30 kilometers from Beiruth, at the edge of the sea, the Byblos town is one of the most wonderful places in Lebanon - "La Résidence" is in the antic place.

this is the first non-west-africa photo that i see from you;
one may complain about the central composition, but an overall effect is very nice, superb colours and quality of the image;

I see You've changed the location of Your photos. After the great pics of Mali(where,thanks to Your stunning photos,I decided to travel at the end of this year)another very nice and clear shot with beautiful colors and a very good POV using the palm tree on the left to frame the buiding.Compliments and have a nice Sunday.

Voici une image qui nous change de tes magnifiques portraits. Une belle lumière et de belles couleurs, mais je trouve qu'il y a un peu trop de ciel dans cette image alors je te propose un WS.

Hi Gaby. I was so surprised to see a posting from you 'Out of Africa'. But what a lovely contrast against this beautiful blue sky and the even deeper blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The positioning of the building slightly offset from centre is very good, and sharpness is superb. One very small point - your image is tilted slightly to the right. It may not be very noticeable to most because you have only a small part of the horizon showing, but my PS was set to 'grid view' when I opened this, so I noticed it straightaway. Cheers . . . David

Beautiful old building Gaby and good structure from the palm trees. I like the details in the stones and the bright, clear light. The composition is nice, I wonder if moving a bit to the right, so the left hand palm tree would be slightly more to the left of the house, and leaning in towards it would also be effective.

Wow quelle superbe photo !! J'apprécie beaucoup l'effet des dattiers qui ajoutent de la vie à l'image. De plus, la présence de la méditérannée à l'arrière est intéressante. J'ai visité Byblos mais le soir, à voir cette image je suis déçue de ne pas y avoir été le jour aussi ;)
