Photographer’s Note

We were in the provincial town of Wangdi Phodrang, near the monastery . There was a very busy market outside, and it was nice to observe the colorful dresses of locals and to watch people. At one moment I decided to change my lens and started to use my 80-200mm Zoom. Instead of taking portraits from my shoulder level, I kneeled, and took many pictures from their level . Cutting people in two like I did above, is not perhaps acceptable for many, but here, I think I caught an eye relationship between the non existant head and the women seated.

I like how all of the sitting women - except the oldest one - are looking up towards the face of the person whom we only get to see as a half. Good cropping and beutiful colors. Nice shot, Izzet. Have a good trip to Venice.

I think cutting people into two is not a problem at all, it works perfectly here. The way you composed this picture I am really curious about who's up there, had you included all of that person it wouldn't have been half as interesting.

I like to break the rules and taking the risk of some bad results, in order to get some original shots. As a professional, you usually have that original eye cacth. I agree with you, about this captured. Everyone looking up, too a person that is not in the image, makes this a funny and interesting composition. Well done!
