Photographers Note
The city of Baktapur adjoins Kathmandu. Together with Patan, these three cities once formed the captials of three city states within the Kathmandu valley. Each city has its own palace and Durbar (temple) square. It is certainly worth a visit.
These women were watching one of the religious ceremonies that are held almost everyday in the streets of Baktapur.
The red color is very widely used in women's dresses as well as the''tikka'' on the forehead in Nepal.
