Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken in the Annapurna region of the Himalaya in Nepal. The foothills of the Himalaya are dotted with tiny villages. The people here live a remote existence in their tiny settlements, only winding tracks and pathways connecting them to the wider world. This old lady lived in a village about 3 days walk from the nearest road.
I think the lady is drying out something in the sun but I am not sure what.
Brightness and contrast were increased slightly in Photoshop and the image framed otherwise this picture is as taken

Good catch. Really good composition, color and detail. The combination of the dark upper right, red sweater, floral dress and green/white wall really make some good contrasting lines and create an interesting photo. This is a photo that may have 40 points instead of 4 if the womans face was turned just a little more towards the camera.
