Photographer’s Note

I decided the wonder of Halong Bay was worth another image. During dusk, many small fishing boats head home at an unhurried pace, slightly interrupting the peacefulness with the muffled putt-putting of their old engines. Unfortunately I can't reproduce that sound in this image, but you're free to imagine it!

Beautiful. I like the symmetrical compostion, creates a peaceful feeling. Beautiful light and shadows, the wake created by the boat is particularly nice.

Magnificent shot Ken! I really like the symmetry of this, with the boat in the centre. There is a V-shape from the rock formations, and then an inverted V from the wake of the boat and the refelction of the rocks. Very beautiful!

the vertical looks good here. there is a good balance. The texture of water in foreground is very attractive. Nice photo!

difficile de rendre de nos jours halong bay au naturel vu l'exploitation que l'on en fait(pollution)
les seuls bateaux circulant n'étant que du tourisme

cette photo nous le fait oublier...merci
